The latest trailer of Invincible Season 2 Part 2 teased many storylines, including the return of Part 1’s short-lived adversary, Angstrom Levy. We first watched him in Season 2’s first episode. He can travel through different dimensions. His abilities allowed him to discover unexplored technologies, opportunities, and knowledge in different dimensions that were not available in his own reality. He took the Mauler Twins’ aid to twist his reality by compiling all the knowledge of his variants. However, he failed to complete his mission (thanks to Invincible), ultimately setting up a rivalry between Angstrom Levy and the titular protagonist in the upcoming Season 2 Part 2.
The reason behind Angstrom Levy’s brief appearance in Season 2 Part 1 was Invincible interrupting Mauler Twins’ experiment on Levy, which left Levy severely disfigured. Angstrom wanted to transfer the minds of his variants into his own. Through the Mauler Twins, he got a machine that was able to help him complete his mission. However, Invincible accidentally interrupted the experiment while pursuing the Mauler Twins. That inadvertent disruption left Levy disfigured and resulted in the deaths of all of his variants.
Apart from the Viltrum Empire’s plans to conquer Earth, Invincible Season 2 Part 2 will also heavily focus on Angstrom Levy, given the screentime the character received in Part 1. Levy wants to exact vengeance on Mark Grayson. And he will do whatever it takes to take down the beloved superhero for good.
Angstrom Levy has travelled to those dimensions where Invincible himself was responsible for conquering Earth. Additionally, the former has interrogated one of Mark’s variants who failed in his mission. It would be wise of Levy to use his powers as an advantage to travel to different dimensions to discover Invincible’s weak spots. He could use this knowledge against the real Mark Grayson in his own dimension. This scenario would complicate Mark’s efforts to stop the Viltrumites in Season 2 Part 2.
Invincible Season 2 Part 2 will premiere on March 14 on Prime Video. Stay tuned for more updates.
