Invincible Season 3 Needs To Be Bigger & Better Than Season 2

Prime Video’s Invincible co-showrunner Simon Racioppa and creator Robert Kirkman have started working on Invincible Season 3 after culminating Season 2 with many shocking twists. The duo is all set to up the stakes in the third season.

In a recent interview with GamesRadar, Kirman disclosed that they would push the series “even harder” through Season 3, almost guaranteeing that the next season could surpass its recently concluded predecessor in every way. Racioppa agreed with Kirkman and added that all key emotional storylines from Seasons 1 and 2 would continue in Season 3.

In addition to these statements, Kirkman also talked about the scope of the third season. “We want every [season three] episode to feel like it’s a finale. Season three is an absolutely huge season with so many crazy things that you won’t expect. And where we leave things at the end of season three… Oh my god, I cannot wait for people to see that stuff,” he said.

Given his recent statements, it seems like the duo of Robert Kirkman and Simon Racioppa is deadset on making the third season bigger and better than the sophomore entry.

Season 2 explored the aftermath of Nolan’s betrayal and the effect his betrayal left on Mark and his mother, Debbie. As the season progressed, we witnessed Nolan, aka the Omni-Man, becoming softer and weaker compared to his egoistic and deranged persona in Season 1. On the other hand, Mark became stricter and more militant in the last season. He never wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father. However, some instances in Season 2 displayed Mark’s uncontrollable ruthlessness and anger, just like his father did in the first season. Will he become like his father in Season 3? Only time will tell us.

In addition, we watched Mark battling Angstrom Levy across many dimensions before beating him to death. However, rumours about the latter returning in Season 3 are running wild on social media. He could make a return and make things more complicated for Mark than they already are. Moreover, Mark has to worry about his little brother, Oliver, who will grow rapidly in Season 3. In the end, we see Allen the Alien dropping a visit to Nolan in a Viltrumite prison. The former gives Nolan an offer to join him in the fight against the Viltrumites.

Based on the information mentioned above, it looks like Invincible Season 3 will offer fans many battles and more than one adversary. The stakes will be definitely higher in Season 3.

Invincible Season 3 is expected to come out on Prime Video sometime between November 2024 to April 2025. Stay tuned for more updates.
