Fans of Prime Video’s ‘Invincible’ series are anxiously waiting for Season 3, given how Season 2 culminated with Mark killing Angstrom and his father, Nolan (aka Omni-Man), admitting his guilt for his cruel and gruesome actions on Earth and how he treated Debbie, Mark’s mother. Showrunner Simon Racioppa has confirmed that fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the third season.
In a recent interview with The Director, Racioppa disclosed that the waiting time for Season 3 “will not be the same between seasons 1 and 2.” Moreover, one of the voice actors from the show, Fred Tatasciore, has confirmed that “fans won’t have to wait too long.”
Many fans were extremely disappointed by the lengthy two-and-a-half-year wait for Invincible Season 2. To make matters worse, the season was divided into two parts with a three-month break between them, further extending the agony for viewers.
Robert Kirkman and his team worked on Seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back. It means that the third season may arrive sooner than anticipated. According to some reports, Season 3 may premiere in early 2025.
Season 3 is expected to be way bigger and more action-packed than the sophomore chapter. It could focus on Omni-Man’s redemption arc as he reunites with his son, Mark, to save Earth from the imminent attack of the Viltrumites. This scenario also guarantees Allen the Alien’s freedom, given that both characters were locked up in Viltrumite prisons in the Season 2 finale.
Plus, we may see Oliver’s transformation into Kid Omni-Man, as per the comics. He is the biological son of Nolan and Andressa, and the adopted son of Debbie Grayson. Being a half Thraxan and half Viltrumite, he possesses the characteristics and abilities of both species. Moreover, Mark could get a new blue suit in Invincible Season 3. Stay tuned for more updates.
