After a long wait, we finally have the first official trailer for Ironheart, the upcoming Disney+ series starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, the titular superhero protagonist. Marvel Studios normally releases trailers for its TV shows nearly a month before their release dates; however, with Ironheart, they’ve done things a bit differently, as the show’s trailer has come out a little over a month ahead of its premiere.
Ironheart has faced multiple delays, but it is now all set to premiere on June 24. The latest trailer offers a glimpse of what fans can expect from the upcoming Chinaka Hodge project. Hodge serves as the showrunner and one of the executive producers, alongside Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Sinners).
Hodge is best known for directing episodes of prominent series such as Snowpiercer and The Midnight Club.
Apart from Dominique Thorne, we also see Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins, aka The Hood—an ally of Riri and a character capable of using dark arts and magic. The rest of the cast includes talents such as Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White.
Sacha Baron Cohen also joins the cast. Although Marvel has not yet revealed which character he will portray in the upcoming Disney+ series, fan theories suggest that Cohen may appear as none other than Mephisto. Let’s see what happens.
Following the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, MIT’s Riri Williams returns to Chicago, where she gets entangled with the mysterious Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. She uncovers hidden truths that spark a conflict between advanced technology and ancient magic, leading her into a world of peril and excitement.
Ironheart is the final project of the MCU’s Phase Five. The series consists of six episodes and is set to debut with a three-episode premiere on June 24. Here’s the new trailer!
