Rahi Anil Barve doesn’t have a long filmography. But who needs one? Bro made one banger movie and left fans craving for more for more than 6 years (and counting).
When the announcement of him making Gulkanda Tales came out in April 2022 then it was a matter of joy and excitement for his fans. We all know what a timeless masterpiece Tumbbad is and a full scale series coming from its director is something we all need.
Well, it has been more than two years now and we still know the same thing as we did two years ago. The director kept teasing us with set pictures but is that ever enough?
Well, looks like there is finally an update. On an X post, Rahi Anil Barve revealed that Gulkanda Tales is almost ready for release.
While posting about his next venture Rakt Bramhand, he wrote about Gulkanda Tales,
“Second is ready to release”
Coming from Barve directly, this means that Gulkanda Tales is not very far from being released. Let’s hope that we get it within a year now.
It will be bonkers to see the “kinda epic” series from a man who certainly has the potential to make an epic-scale thing.
But in a way, we should not complain about the delay in Gulkanda Tales. We do realise that it is already getting late but just imagine watching a rushed series which doesn’t satisfy the artistic standards of Rahi Anil Barve…
We are happy to wait if Barve isn’t satisfied with the final product. Watching a disappointing series of scale and hype would be far more painful than waiting a bit longer to see what Barve truly imagined.
