Harshvardhan Rane made his big screen debut with Telugu film ‘Thakita Thakita’ (2010) and his Hindi film debit with ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ (2016). The latter as re-released recently and emerged as a box office success with massive public appreciation.
Following this Rane is set to return with another passionate love story ‘Deewaniyat’
directed by Milap Milan Zaveri who has co-written the story and screenplay with Mushtaq Sheikh.
The announcement video for ‘Deewaniyat’, launched today on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, features Rane’s voiceover telling how his love is beyond normal and is nothing less than crazy. There is an intense vibe to the whole thing where love is not adorable but dangerous.
Rane has been part of various other projects since ‘Sanam Tari Kasam’ but has been waiting long for a role that could get him the recognition he has been seeking. With the recent success of his debut Hindi film, Rane has emerged as a popular choice among the audience specially female fans who are going gaga over his charm.
Despite having credits like ‘Paltan’, ‘Taish’, ‘Haseen Dilruba’ and more, Rane did not manage to get that breakthrough role he would have wished for. Now that he has shot to fame with the re-release and ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’ is already in development, it will be interesting to see whether or not ‘Deewaniyat’ gets him that long awaited due.
