As part of actor Jayam Ravi’s birthday, an upcoming movie poster has been posted by the crew for his new one. The movie is named ‘Genie’ which is expected to be a fantasy-comedy flick where the new poster is assumed to look expensive and profound.
‘Genie’ is written and directed by Bhuvanesh Arjunan and features actor Jayam Ravi in the titular character along with actors Kalyani Priyadarshan, Kriti Shetty, and Wamiqa Gabbi in important roles. The movie is produced by Ishari K Ganesh for Vels Films International and technical labour includes handling of cinematography by Mahesh Muthuswami, editing by Pradeep E Raghav, and music by legend A R Rahman respectively.
The poster looks like a large canvas adding magical realism along with humour, also estimated in a budget of hundred crores in rupees. High octane expectations are for the production design and background scores which may be the spine of the film. Actor Jayam Ravi is the nucleus of the movie and is hoped to perform the character well.
However, a brilliant screenplay cannot be expected which can fill the void with visual creativity. The movie was officially announced in March of 2023 under the tentative title JR32, as it is Ravi’s 32nd film as the lead actor, and the official title was announced that July. However, it was postponed due to the actor’s other film commitments and post-production delay.
