Very recently we reported how Jio and Hotstar can merge very very soon and by that, we meant this week.
Well, a new and mysterious website that has gotten us all intrigued. It is called www.jiostar.com.
The site, ‘jiostar.com,’ is currently labeled as “coming soon” with no further details. Many believe it could be the future streaming platform following the merger between Reliance and Hotstar, but there’s no official word yet.
This update follows the offer from Dubai-based siblings Jainam and Jivika Jain to transfer the ‘jiohotstar.com’ domain to Reliance for free. In a statement, they clarified that this gesture was voluntary and made without any outside influence or pressure. They also mentioned that no one from Reliance or any legal team had reached out to them and they simply thought the domain might be best suited for Reliance. They just did a lot of drama on the site for several weeks.
The domain had an interesting backstory: the siblings bought it from a Delhi-based app developer to help support his education. Previously, the developer had considered selling it to fund his studies at Cambridge University.
