One film from Dev had an astonishing clash with Nandita-Shiboprosad’s ‘Bohurupi’ during the Puja vacation. Now, one more film from the actor producer is about to be released and it is going on a somewhat similar path that Bohurupi went on.
‘Khadaan’ is promoting the songs of the movie a great deal. The trailer of the movie has not been released yet and all the marketing is going on through the music. We have not gotten a Bengali movie in a long time that depended this much on its music. But Bohurupi came along as a surprise and it is a film that amazed the audience with its iconic songs. The songs like ‘Dakatiya Banshi’ and ‘Shimul Polash’ are still viral on social media and have definitely contributed a lot to the huge business of the film.
‘Khadaan’, like ‘Bohurupi’ is an out and out commercial film that caters mainly to the rural audiences. And it is also dependent a lot on the music of the film. The songs like ‘Haye Re Biye’ and ‘Rajar Raja’ are getting good views on YouTube but have a lot to go before Competing Bohurupi.
Even if the songs do not do as good as Bohurupi, still they will definitely attract a large number of audiences to the theaters.
