Is Napoleon’s Box Office Numbers Concerning?

Apple TV placed its bets on two excellent movies in terms of content quality. However, they are not achieving the expected numbers, which may pose a concern for the company.

Firstly, Martin Scorsese’s “Killers Of The Flower Moon” fell short in box office numbers as audiences chose Taylor Swift’s film and “Five Nights At Freddy’s.”

As of now, “Killers Of The Flower Moon” is nearing the $150 million mark but is far from covering its cost. “Napoleon” is expected to follow a similar path, not only as a cinematic piece but also in financial terms, destined to experience a decline.

Director Ridley Scott‘s “Napoleon,” starring Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix, has generated massive buzz in all aspects. From heated comments to allegations regarding the inaccuracy of events, “Napoleon” is on its way to confront it all. However, one battle it might lose is the long struggle at the box office.

In terms of previews, “Napoleon” may have outperformed “Wish,” but this victory seems short-lived as the Thanksgiving weekend is expected to boost Aisha. “Napoleon,” starting with a $3 million mark, is projecting a $15 million to $22 million mark depending on the Thanksgiving weekend.

There, a question might arise: Is a shorter theatrical run and an OTT assurance costing it? However, “Five Nights At Freddy’s,” which is having a parallel run in both theaters and OTT, is still smashing box office records.

While the statistics are concerning, Apple TV will need to address these issues, especially as they aim to compete with major players. Movies like these are expected to be significant assets in the long run.
