Is Prime Video Snobbish In Marketing Indian Titles? It Looks So

Prime Video is never known for good marketing strategies. They fall a big time behind Netflix which is phenomenally good when it comes to promoting films/series.

Even though they don’t put much effort to promote Indian titles, they are still leaps and bounds better than other platforms in the competition.

Binged even pointed out that for a sitcom as potent as Mind The Malhotras Season 2, the platform dedicated only two days of promotion.

Although their huge subscriber base helps them garner great views, they still lose a big time in views that can be generated.

But, The Rings Of Power is coming this week only on Prime Video. It is the biggest series yet by the streaming giant. The reviews are out and it is already being called a cinematic masterpiece.

Thankfully, the cast of the series even visited India for promotion. Prime Video organized a big event where Bollywood biggies such as Karan Johar and Hrithik Roshan graced with their presence.

The streaming giant is projecting Vikram Vedha star, Hrithik Roshan as the promoter of the show. Needless to say, his superstardom and influence will help the show gain traction.

But where does all this social media campaign go when there is any Indian title waiting for promotion?

We realize that they can’t use someone like Hrithik Roshan for promotion now and then but it’s high time they realize the potential of “Indian titles” within “India”.

Otherwise, they will simply fail to project Indian titles on a global scale.

Netflix immensely promoted RRR and it is one of the most successful films ever on their platform. Something miraculous like that can also happen on Prime Video but they need to show some efforts for the same.
