Sony’s Marvel cinematic universe is a potential cinematic universe with many interesting marvel characters and plots. The latest movie from the universe “Morbius” has dropped in the theaters but the movie failed to capture audience’s zeal and reportedly has worst reviews both from critics and fans for a Marvel movie. This is a problem with the Marvel movies of Sony. The venom and the amazing spider man movie also had similar fates. But the post credits of Morbius, despite being confusing, does give fans hope for the future of the Sonyverse by teasing a Sinister six team up.
Sinister six is the name of the team of villains of Spiderman. The post credit scene of Morbius reveals Adrian Toomes aka Vulture approaching Morbius and asking about joining hands against Spider-Man which Morbius accepts. But the confusing part is that Adrian Toomes is played by Micheal Keaton and the mid credit scene confirmed that he is the same person from Tom Holland’s Spider-Man(MCU). And he is now in the universe of Morbius and we don’t know which Spider-Man is in that universe. But still it doesn’t make sense why he wants to take revenge on this Spider-Man since they haven’t met before.
This is not the first time Sony is teasing a Sinister six team up. They have done this in Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spiderman 2 but after that we haven’t seen his Spider-Man until “No Way Home” . But since Sony hasn’t announced a movie yet with Andrew Garfield, the Sinister six plan is almost doomed. And Sony has announced movies with Kraven The Hunter, Madame Webb and Black Cat, they are most likely to follow the new Sinister Six plans.
If this is going to be true, then it is sure we will witness a fourth Spiderman and hopefully it will be a Miles Morales Spiderman and we can’t deny the return of Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man which fans are expecting, because since the multiverse is open and Adrian Toomes from MCU has reached in the universe of Morbius, the chances are sky-high.
The confusing post credits scene of Morbius has paved way to many wild fan theories and everybody agrees that Sony is planning a Sinister six movie and they will reveal other members of Sinister six and Spiderman of this universe soon.
