Since the time of “Bhooter Bhabishyat”, the connection between Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Ghosts are inseparable.
In the previous year he launched his first horror web series, “Parnashavari Shaap” and now on 31st October the second instalment of “Bhaduri Moshai” saga “Nikosh Chhaya” was also released.
The series gathered much audience’s hype and it is considered to be better than the first instalment.
With actors like Chiranjit Chakraborty, Surangana Bandyopadhyay, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Anindita Bose, Arna Mukhopadhyay and Kanchan Mallik this new horror web series “Nikosh Chhaya”, broke the good old image of Bengali ghost.
In this series Parambrata Chattopadhyay very smartly played with body horror. As well as being in the Bengali industry there is not a lot of budget for VFX. But, with good cinematography Parambrata captured a very haunting essence.
As we discussed earlier this series broke the good old image of Bengali ghosts who are not really harmful and to some extent helpful as well.
But with “Nikosh Chhaya” we got to see a very gruesome take on that, and we must say that’s a good take in the Bengali industry towards horror.
“Nikosh Chhaya”might not make you turn on the lights at night but surely it will send some chills down your spine.
And that’s a smart play with horror from the Bengali industry.
