A young man who is failing to get into a high-profile urban job finally tries a government job and passes. He hates the place because of how rustic it is, but eventually gets through it well. Moreover, he gets fond of the village and its people.
This is the usual trope of Panchayat, and it looks like Prime Video is exploiting it. They first remade the show in both Tamil and Telugu. Later, they made Dupahiya, which yet again falls into the same trap.
Now, they are coming up with Gram Chikitsalaya.
The series is about self-discovery, unexpected friendships and strange situations related to the struggle to adapt to a new place. Amol Parashar, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, Garima Vikrant Singh, Vinay Pathak and Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor will be seen in lead roles in this series.
Unlike Dupahiya, it is again a TVF product. The question arises whether Prime Video is overdoing the trope? Is it scarce on the originality that has given it such a massive success?
We’ll get to know when the show is released. Dupahiya failed to make any important remarks, and it struggled for attention. However, we are sure Prime Video doesn’t want it again for Gram Chikitsalaya.
Let’s see when we get it.
