‘You’ is one of the most intriguing and successful original shows in Netflix’s repertoire. The story of a psychopath stalker cum serial killer, who’s so charismatic and amiable that he can charm the pants off anyone, has kept audiences riveted for two seasons.
Season 2 began streaming just a week ago, and already fans who’ve binge-watched it are clamouring to know if there is a Season 3 in the pipeline.
Well, let us tell you that there is a Season 3 in the works, but the word hasn’t come from official channels. Netflix hasn’t given out any official info on ‘You’ Season 3 yet. The news about there being a Season 3, however, comes straight from the horse’s mouth, that is, from Penn Badgley’s mouth.
Penn Badgley plays main lead Joe Goldberg in You. And he accidentally revealed in an interview with an entertainment portal that audiences will get to see where the future takes his narcissistic murderer character, Joe.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Penn Badgley inadvertently revealed that season 3 was pretty much in the pipeline.
Expounding on his co-star Victoria Pedretti’s character Love, he said, “She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of person. She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of predator. She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of you know, dare I say, in the third season – oh, god!” Badgley said. Any ignoramus can conclude from the above that Season 3 is up for the making for sure.
And anyway, after the wildly innovative cliffhanger that Season 2 ended at, audiences certainly deserve closure with a new season. Here’s looking forward to You, Season 3. So there!
