A recent update states that Tubi is now one of the biggest OTT platforms in America. The latest statistics reveal that Tubi had its most fruitful month, exceeding Disney+, Max, Paramount+, and Peacock in terms of viewership.
India won’t be seeing the services of Tubi anytime soon. Firstly, Tubi won’t be investing in any Hindi content. Secondly, there is too much competition, and with giants such as Prime, JioCinema, and JioTV already investing in such models, it is practically an impossible path for the platform to grow.
The Indian audience is definitely requesting Tubi to bring their services to India. It would be exciting, and the existing platforms would face some competition. Though they will definitely face some licensing issues, if Tubi can manage this, they will have the support of the biggest domestic audience.
