Vikram Seth’s best-selling novel A Suitable Boy is being adapted for the web by veteran director, Mira Nair. And the latest news coming in from the sets of the web series is that shoot is finally complete. Yes, it’s a wrap-up for A Suitable Boy.
The series has been produced by BBC One and Lookout Point, written by Andrew Davies and directed by Mira Nair.
Ishaan Khatter, who’s playing a crucial role in the show, that of Maan Kapoor, shared the news of the wrap-up on his Instagram handle for his fans and followers. He also added that he’s eager that his fans see it.
Tabu, who’s playing courtesan Saeeda Bai in the narrative, also shared the news of the wrap-up on her Instagram along with a witty caption that read, ‘A suitable bye’.
Now that shooting has been wrapped up, only the post-production work remains, before the series is ready for streaming. Besides Ishaan Khatter and Tabu, A Suitable Boy stars newbie Tanya Maniktala as lead protagonist Lata.
Rasika Dugal, Ram Kapoor, Namit Das, Shahana Goswami, Vivek Gomber, Gagan Dev Riar, Danesh Razvi, Mikhail Sen, Vijay Varma (Gully Boy), Manoj Pahwa (Article 15) and Mahira Kakkar, among others, complete the ensemble cast.
