It’s A Wrap For Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Bhakshak’

‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ star Bhumi Pednekar took to Twitter to announce completion of the shoot for her upcoming film ‘Bhakshak’. Reportedly based on the horrifying true story of the Muzaffarpur shelter home case, ‘Bhakshak’ is helmed by Pulkit (‘Bose: Dead or Alive’).

‘Bhakshak’ has wrapped up after a 39 day shoot schedule and sharing a photo with the crew and her experience about the film Bhumi said, “It has been an emotional roller-coaster, and 39 days later, we wrap #Bhakshak. A film that will always remain close to my heart and the narrative that will continue to give me goosebumps.”

Bhumi is supposedly playing the role of a journalist in ‘Bhakshak’ which is said to be inspired from the 2018 Muzaffarpur shelter home case where several young girls were abused, raped and tortured. On discovery, the heinous case was investigated by CBI and the main accused was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.

‘Bhakshak’, a female driven thriller drama, is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and stars Bhumi Padnekar, Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava and Saie Tamhankar among others. The film is set to release soon in cinemas.
