All the speculations about Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan about joining or not joining the cast of Jr. NTR’s upcoming film with the working title ‘NTR30’ have been laid to rest. The makers of Koratala Siva’s highly anticipated directorial project have officially revealed today that the ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ actor is indeed a part of ‘NTR30’ and also shared a few pictures from the film’s set featuring the trio of Jr. NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Koratala Siva. Said Ali Khan has already commenced the film’s shoot in Hyderabad.
‘NTR30’ is expected to release in theatres on 5th April 2024. As per the buzz, Saif Ali Khan will be essaying the role of the antagonist in the movie. Most likely it’s true but official confirmation is still awaited in this regard. Besides Jr. NTR and Saif Ali Khan, ‘NTR30’ also features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead.
‘NTR30’ will obviously be not the first time the National Film Award winning actor Saif Ali Khan will be playing the role of a villain / negative / greyish character. In fact, whenever he has performed the role of a greyish character in a film, he has nailed it on most occasions.
Previously, Saif Ali Khan has played negative / villainous / greyish roles in Kundan Shah’s ‘Kya Kehna’, Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ek Hasina Thi’, Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Omkara’, and Om Raut’s ‘Tanjaji’. Moreover, he will be playing the main antagonist Lankesh Ravana in Om Raut’s forthcoming big-ticket mythological film ‘Adipurush’ starring Prabhas.
So, it can be said that roping in Saif Ali Khan to play the antagonist looks like a really smart move by the makers of ‘NTR30’, if the reports turn out to be true. Firstly because of Saif Ali Khan’s track impeccable record in negative roles and secondly to give ‘NTR30’ a more Pan-India perception and feel. Stay tuned to Binged for the latest updates on ‘NTR30’.
