Touted as a dark satirical comedy, the film’s storyline is still under wraps but is reportedly based on Gandhian principles. With a tag line that reads, ‘Let’s celebrate the silent era once again’, ‘Gandhi Talks’ marks the celebration of 108 years of Indian cinema and is dedicated to late Shri Dada Saheb Phalke, the pioneer of Indian cinema.
The film was announced last year on the occasion of Vijay Sethupati’s birthday in January and will be made in six languages – Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Balekar serves as the writer and director for ‘Gandhi Talks’ that is produced by Movie Mill Entertainment.
Vijay Sethupati has a number of projects lined up including the much awaited action thriller film ‘Vikram’ where he stars alongside Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil and his Bollywood debut ‘Mumbaikar’ that is a remake of the 2017 Tamil film ‘Maanagaram’. Other than this, he will also be seen in Amir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chadha’, Raj & DK’s ‘Farzi’ on Amazon Prime Video and more.
