Horror and thriller movies in themselves are a treat for frenzied fans of the genre. But when they inculcate everybody’s favorite comedic actors, it becomes a whole another likeable thing all together.
The ‘Anaconda’ film series just did something along these lines. The American horror film series created by Hans Bauer, Jim Cash and Jack Epps Jr., has created for itself a dedicated fan base throughout its almost 3-decade long run, since the release of its first installment, back in 1997. The film series has featured stars like Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Jon Voight, KaDee Strickland, David Hasselhoff, Patrick Regis, John Rhys-Davies, and more in a span of four feature installments.
The newest additions to the franchise seem to be fan favorites Jack Black and Paul Rudd. Coming from Columbia Pictures is a reboot of the original thriller franchise for the 2020s. The duo are thus in talks to star in a reimagining of the 1997 horror movie that features the titular deadly, venomous reptile.
The upcoming film follows a group of friends in the thick of a mid-life crisis. They set out to remake their favorite movie from their youth. When they head to the rainforest to do so, they find themselves in a fight for their lives against natural disasters, giant snakes, and violent criminals.
Unfortunately, no further information about cast and characters has been made public yet.
