Jackie Chan To Join Ralph Macchio In New Karate Kid Movie!

Sony Pictures has announced a new movie in the Karate Kid franchise. It will be acting as a sequel to both the original movie and the 2010 remake.

Jackie Chan is set to reprise his role as Mr. Han and actor Ralph Macchio from the original 1984 movie will also be joining him.

The movie will be directed by Jonathan Entwistle and the screenplay will be from Rob Lieber. Karen Rosenfelt is producing the movie and it is slated for a theatrical release on the 13th December in 2024.

The character of Mr. Han was inspired by the role of Mr. Miyagi played by Noriyuki Morita (Pat). The original movie came out in 1984 and told the story of an underdog named Daniel LaRusso who somehow meets an extraordinarily talented immigrant martial artist named Miyagi. Mr. Miyagi helps him through a wonderful journey of training and self-discovery. Ralph Macchio played Daniel in the movie. In the 2010 movie, Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan acted as the trainee-master duo. Both movies were huge international hits.

The character of Daniel LaRusso has been brought back through the Cobra Kai series which is also a highly successful series which was also nominated for the Emmy Awards.

It is not revealed how the movie will continue the story of the movie and introduce the ‘Cobra Kai’ part into it. Fans are eagerly waiting for the movie and the announcement comes as a huge surprise to them.
