Chinese filmmaker Stanley Tong has announced that he will be reuniting with popular actor Jackie Chan for the tenth time. The actor will be next seen in the movie ‘The Legend’ which will be directed by Tong.
Jackie Chan was last seen in the movie ‘Ride On’ that came out only this month. Chan plays an old stuntman Luo in the movie who shares a deep bond with his stunt horse and does not want to lose him to debt. The film is a terrific action drama and it gained love from audiences.
Jackie Chan has an international following and his Hollywood movies along with the Chinese ones are watched all over the world. Stanley Tong is one of the most successful filmmakers of the Chinese film industry and has given many hits with the international star. The two have collaborated for ‘Rumble In The Bronx’, ‘The Myth’, ‘Supercop’, ‘Police Story 4: First Strike’ and others. It was Stanley Tong who had a huge contribution to the career of Chan and for his action comedies, the actor was shot to quick fame. He is also known for helming various episodes in TV shows like Martial Law, Ambition, Boy & Girl, Water Beauty, The Myth. He has directed Jackie in the India-China joint production ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ that went on to be Jackie Chan’s biggest hit in China and reached huge audiences in India as well. The film starred other actors like Sonu Sood and Disha Patani. Vanguard came out in 2020 and it too starred Jackie as the lead.
It is the uniqueness of action comedy that makes the pair of Tong and Jackie different. Hopefully, The Legend too will prove to be quite successful like all their previous collaborations.
