For a show that was on the verge of being cancelled, Amazon Prime Video’s Made In Heaven is set to make a bigger splash than ever in its upcoming second season. While the original lead cast of the show, comprising Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala and Jim Sarbh, is set to return for the new season of Made In Heaven, it is the new names associated with Made In Heaven 2 that have caused fans’ hearts to flutter. Reportedly, pretty actresses Jacqueline Fernandez, Dia Mirza, Mrunal Thakur, Radhika Apte, Neelam Kothari and Shibani Dandekar will play the brides in distress in the new season of the show.
For the uninitiated, Made In Heaven is set in the backdrop of the big fat Indian wedding, and the myriad shenanigans associated with it. Arjun Mathur and Sobhita Dhulipala play partners in a wedding organising business in the show. Each episode of the show centers on a different, about-to-be-married couple, through the lens of which, the narrative casts a spotlight on the patriarchy, hypocrisy and superficiality of upper class Indian society.
The lineup of actresses roped in to play the brides-to-be in Made In Heaven Season 2 is a feather in the cap for the creators of the show, Excel Entertainment, along with writers Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Alankrita Shrivastava. Samir Soni, Ishaan Khanna, Santosh Ojha are few of the other actors who will be a part of Made In Heaven Season 2.
Made In Heaven 2 went on floors earlier this year. By our calculations, the show should begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video in the first quarter of 2022. Made In Heaven had debuted on Amazon Prime Video on International Women’s Day, that is 8th March, back in 2019.
