Finally!
After months of speculation, we have reached the release date of probably the most anticipated Tamil movie of 2021 (yep, even more than ‘Master’) – ‘Jagame Thandhiram‘. This highly anticipated movie was expected to premiere in theatres but after its May 2020 release got scrapped due to the raging coronavirus pandemic, the film producer, Sashikanth, decided to opt for a direct-to-OTT release.
This direct-to-OTT release decision made by Sashikanth came as a surprise to many including ‘Jagame Thandhiram’s’ lead, Dhanush and director Karthik Subbaraj. This lead to a major falling out between the film’s lead actor and the producer, with the actor refusing to promote the movie in any way, as long as the movie was releasing on an OTT platform. However, it has been months since the OTT announcement and Dhanush has now made peace with the release. So with that issue out of the way, Tamil film lovers have been eagerly waiting for this movie to drop.

Jagame Thandhiram will be available for streaming on Netflix, and Netflix alone.
When will Jagame Thandhiram stream in India?
The movie will release today, 18th June 2021, on the aforementioned OTT platform, Netflix at 12:30 pm, in the afternoon.
What languages will Jagame Thandhiram stream in?
Jagame Thandhiram will be available for streaming in its original Tamil language, as well as dubbed in 16 other languages- Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Brazilian, Spanish (Castilian), Spanish (Neutral), Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese. The film will also have English subtitles.
Why are there so many dubbed versions of Jagame Thandhiram?
Jagame Thandhiram will be made available for streaming in all 190 countries that Netflix is currently available in, hence the dubbed version is to make the film appeal to a wide variety of audience.
