James Cameron Wants to Remake ‘Fantastic Voyage’ As His Next!

Filmmaker James Cameron has said that he wants to start working on adapting the movie ‘Fantastic Voyage’.

The movie tells a story of a scientist who develops a fatal blood clot in his brain. But, in a desperate attempt to live, he invents a technology to minimize matter, thus sending a group of experts to resolve the issue of the clot. The experts find themselves in a terrifying adventure inside his body.

The science fiction adventure movie came out in 1996 and starred actors like Stephen Boyd, Raquel Welch, Edmond O’Brien, Donald Pleasence, Arthur O’Connell etc. It had its screenplay by Harry Kleiner and the direction was handled by Richard Fleischer. The movie got huge popularity during the time of its release and James Cameron says he has been busy trying to adapt it properly for over a decade. In a recent interview, he exclaimed that the time is up, and that he wants to make the movie soon now.

Cameron said, “We’ve been developing it for a number of years, and we plan to go ahead with it very soon. Raquel Welch is not available, but we think we can make a pretty good movie.” In the same interview, Cameron talked about his love for science fiction. With movies like ‘Avatar’, ‘Abyss’, ‘The Terminator’ or ‘Aliens’, James Cameron has proved that he is one of the best in the business to make films about science fiction.

Fans look up to him for the highly ambitious films that he has promised to deliver. Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 will have to cater for expectations from all over the world. Now, ‘Fantastic Voyage’ adds up to the list.
