The filming for James Gunn’s first DC directional feature, Superman: Legacy, will commence in March this year. It stars David Corenswet as the Last Son of Krypton and Rachel Brosnahan as the protagonist’s love interest, Lois Lane. The GOTG helmer has finished writing the script of his next project and will soon get involved in its principal photography. Amidst all this, he has revealed when the fans should expect to get Legacy’s trailer.
While replying to one of his fans on Threads, James Gunn disclosed when the ‘Superman: Legacy’ trailer would come out. He revealed that the clip would not get released this year as he still has to make some adjustments to the film’s script. This is what he replied on Threads:
“No. We don’t begin filming until March. Writing is basically done and has been for a while, other than a comma here, a comma there.”
Fans may get Legacy’s trailer in early 2025, which also sits well with its release date (July 11, 2025). If the film’s trailer comes out in January or February next year, it will give plenty of time to Legacy to build up a strong hype among the DC fans.
Superman: Legacy is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated movies in 2025. There’s no denying that the fate of the DC live-action films heavily relies on James Gunn’s next project, considering how horribly some of the last remaining DCEU movies have performed, including the latest, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Apart from Corenswet and Brosnahan, James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy stars Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, Nicholas Hoult, and more. Stay tuned for more updates.
