James Spader’s The Blacklist Gets Renewed For Season 10

Raymond Reddington is coming back! Hollywood star James Spader has confirmed NBC’s renewal of The Blacklist for Season 10. The actor appeared in the recent episode of Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. He affirmed that the show is returning for the tenth time. It means that Jon Bokenkamp’s series now has an opportunity to cross the ‘200-episode’ barrier.

Several rumours emerged on the internet regarding the show’s cancellation by NBC after the last season’s premiere. Creator Bokenkamp and star Megan Boone showed their interest in working on some other projects after Season 8. The latter played Elizabeth “Liz” Keen in the series. But it seems like all these rumours have been thrown into a trash can by the television network.

Spader leads The Blacklist with his iconic character of Reddington. He is the former U.S. Naval Officer turned master criminal. Also, he finds himself on the list of FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives. After many years, he surrenders himself to the bureau. FBI chooses him as one of its confidential informants to get the names of the most dangerous criminals in the world. Later, it gets revealed that Keen is her biological daughter.

The show made its debut back in September 2013. Since then, it has delivered a total of 183 episodes in its nine seasons. Furthermore, The Blacklist: Redemption serves as one of the spin-off entries to the original series.

The makers have not yet revealed the release date for The Blacklist Season 10. But we can safely assume that the show may arrive after September or October this year. Boone’s character lost her life in Season 8. So, the chances of her return are low. But may get a cameo appearance in the forthcoming season. The series stars James Spader, Diego Klattenhoff, Harry Lennix, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, Laura Sohn, and many more.
