There have been reports that SS Rajamouli’s RRR is looking at Sankranthi 2022 release and the makers are in talks with other Tollywood Stars to make way for the Mega-budget movie. But then, it looks like options are running out for Rajamouli and a big postponement may be imminent for RRR.
As many as six biggies have announced their arrival from Christmas to January 21st. We have 83 The Film releasing for Christmas. Allu Arjun‘s Pushpa may also arrive for Christmas. Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey has booked December 31st slot. And then, RRR heroine Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is releasing on January 6th.
The makers of Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam have reiterated January 14th release for their film and then, there is Prithviraj releasing on January 21st. In all probability, Christmas – Sankranthi release is ruled out for the film. The movie may have to opt for a dull season release or postpone until Summer 2022. If that happens, it will be a big postponement for the film.
Given the fact that RRR has huge monies at stake, the makers can not afford to release the movie in a dull season. It already has enough troubles back home in Andhra Pradesh. It looks like there is no solace outside the Telugu states as well.
