Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer comedy drama movie ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ was released in theatres on 10th June 2022. Despite the film’s insipid box office response, the movie received critical acclaim from many critics and audiences, and Nushrratt Bharuccha got a thumbs-up for her lead performance. The film has received 83% positive feedback on the movie ticketing portal BookMyShow and a 7.7 IMDb user rating.
For those of you who had missed watching the film in theatres, you can soon watch ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ on your screens as the movie is all set for its OTT release on the Zee5 streaming platform from 15th July onwards. Here’s the digital premiere announcement:
‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ revolves around a young girl named Manokamna Tripathi a.k.a. Mannu (played by Nushrratt Bharuccha), who takes up the tough job of selling condoms in a small place in Madhya Pradesh. The film’s basic plotline focuses on how Mannu overcomes the challenges despite the social taboo and her own family’s resistance. The movie also features Vijay Raaz, Tinnu Anand, and Brijendra Kala in important roles.
‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ has been helmed by Jai Basantu Singh, who had previously directed award shows and television series such as ‘Zee Cine Awards’, ‘Jeannie Aur Juju’, ‘Jamai Raja’, and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, amongst others.
‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ might prove to be another turning point for Nushrratt Bharuccha’s acting career in films. The talented actress first came into the limelight after starring in Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘LSD: Love, Sex, Aur Dokha’, and later in Luv Ranjan’s cult rom-com ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. She also featured in Hansal Mehta’s ‘Chhalaang’, ‘Ajeeb Daastaans’, and ‘Chhorii’. After ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’, Nushrratt Bharuccha’s forthcoming acting projects include Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Ram Setu’, action drama ‘Chatrapathi’, and the ‘Driving License’ Hindi remake.
