The trailer for ‘Ulajh’ is out now and this one looks intriguing with Janhvi Kapoor dominating the most of it. Coming from the makers of ‘Raazi’, ‘Badhaai Do’ and ‘Talvar’, ‘Ulajh’ is directed by Sudhanshu Saria and will release in theatres on 2nd August, 2024.
The trailer begins with information of a leak that could be detrimental to the country and needs urgent investigation. From there the video moves quickly to Suhana Bhatia (Janhvi Kapoor) who is an alumnus of prestigious colleges in India and abroad and has become the youngest Deputy High Commissioner.
Coming from a prominent family of patriots, Suhana is criticised for bagging the post due to nepotism and doesn’t actually deserve it. But things take a drastic turn when she gets to embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while far from her home turf, in a career defining post. Is she really the traitor she is made out to be or is something bigger at play.
In ‘Ulajh’ trailer Janhvi Kapoor is seen going through a variety of emotions from happiness, self doubt, confidence, desperation, anger, frustration to determination. Janhvi does look promising in this role.
The background music backs in building the tension and other actors though get limited time in the trailer make for a descent screen presence. While most of it is revealed in the trailer the bigger mystery remains to be solved.
Written by Parveez Sheikh and Sudhanshu Saria, ‘Ulajh’ stars Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Matthew, Adil Hussain, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta and Jitendra Joshi.
‘Ulajh’ is produced by Vineet Jain under his Junglee Pictures banner which is known for its films like ‘Raazi’, ‘Badhai Do’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, ‘Talvar’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, and more. ‘Ulajh’ will release in cinemas on 2nd August, 2024.
