The official teaser for ‘Japan’ is out now. It has Karthi in the lead role and is crime-comedy-thriller by genre. There has been a lot of excitement and anticipation among the fans and after Ponniyin Selvan, fans are ready to see Karthi in a whole new avatar.
The teaser is a highly funny one and has a vivid colour pallette. The character of Japan is very quirky and is always dressed in gold, jewellery and colorful clothes. Even his front teeth are made of gold. ‘Japan’ tells the story of an exceptionally crafty thief who steals from banks and jewel stores. He has been involved in a total of 182 cases of larceny and the police of four states are looking for him. But he is no less than ‘Don’ and it is almost impossible to catch him. His recent theft has stirred the whole state and the government wants him behind the bars at any cost.
‘Japan’ is written and directed by Raju Murugan and produced by S. R. Prabhu. Apart from Karthi, there will be other actors in the movie like Anu Emmanuel, Jithan Ramesh, Sunil, Vijay Milton, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Bava Chelladurai and more. Sunil plays the role of the inspector trying to find Japan.
Why the character is named so and what the story unfolds to be, we will get to know only after watching the movie.
The music for the movie is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar and the wonderful cinematography is handled by Ravi Varman. The striking visuals are going to be one of the USPs of the movie. Japan is slated for a Diwali release and fans are all excited for a good comedy movie from Karthi.
