Jason Clarke, Louise Lombard Cast in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer

The seemingly never-ending cast list of Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated next film ‘Oppenheimer’ has now added two more actors to the star-studded venture. As per a recent report by Deadline, ‘Oppenheimer’ will also feature Jason Clarke and Louise Lombard.

In doing that, Jason Clarke and Louise Lombard will now share screen space with several Hollywood A-listers including Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr., amongst other eminent performers. However, precisely what roles they have been roped in for the film, is not yet confirmed.

In Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’, Cillian Murphy will play the central role of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who was amongst those considered as the “father of the atomic bomb” and his role in the development of the atom bomb during World War II. The film is ostensibly based on Kai Bird’s award-winning book titled ‘American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer’.

For Jason Clarke, Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ is not the first high-profile project that he has been a part of. Because previously, he had essayed the role of John Connor in Arnold Schwarzenegger starrer ‘Terminator Genisys’. Besides, Jason Clarke had also acted in films like ‘Everest’, ‘Dawn on the Planet of the Apes’, ‘White House Down’ and Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar winning thriller ‘Zero Dark Thirty’.

On the other hand, Louise Lombard is well known for her roles in TV series ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, BBC show ‘House of Eliott’, and the 2020 romantic drama movie ‘After We Collided’. Christopher Nolan’s multi-starrer film ‘Oppenheimer’ is scheduled for a theatrical release on 21st July 2023.
