Jawan Eyes Oscars! Credits To RRR Success

In the world of cinema, the dream of every filmmaker is to see their work recognized and celebrated on the grandest stages, and one such stage that holds an unparalleled allure is the Oscars. Recently, director Atlee has expressed his aspiration to take his latest creation, ‘Jawan,’ to the Oscars.

Although the Oscars are not at all the standard we should judge cinema from, it is an important award in world cinema nonetheless. RRR aimed it and achieved it.

Now it is the time for Atlee and Jawan. We all have seen how passionately SS Rajamouli worked for the Oscar campaign of the film, and the result was worth it. The fact that Jawan is even considering for an Oscar campaign is a proof big enough that the impact of RRR is much more than merely a blockbuster film.

We are not saying that Jawan may get an Oscar because of RRR but the vision for Indian mass films to campaign in Oscars certainly goes to Rajamouli.

‘Jawan,’ has taken both international and domestic audiences by storm, storming into the ₹800 crore club at the worldwide box office in just over a week since its release.

Apart from Shahrukh Khan, the film boasts an ensemble cast, featuring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and many more in pivotal roles.

When asked about his Oscar dreams, he responded, “Of course, even ‘Jawan’ should go, if everything falls in place. I think every effort, everybody, every director, every technician who is working in cinema, their eyes are on the Golden Globes, Oscars, National Awards, every award. So, definitely, yeah, I would love to take ‘Jawan’ to the Oscars.” He even playfully hinted at discussing the idea with his lead actor, Shah Rukh Khan, adding a touch of humour to his ambition.

As ‘Jawan’ continues to dominate the box office worldwide, it’s no surprise that Atlee is aiming for the highest accolade in the world of cinema. We can easily say that now more and more films will aim for the Oscars. Let’s see what happens.
