Jayeshbhai Jordaar Trailer: A Hilarious Slap On Female Foeticide

The trailer of the much-awaited Jayeshbhai Jordaar is now out. The film starring Ranveer Singh is the homecoming of the actor to Yash Raj Films.

Just like the off-screen personality of Singh, the film showcases him in a caricaturish, funny and comical avatar.

The film, apart from Ranveer Singh in the lead role, stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah. Written and directed by Divyang Thakkar, Vishal-Shekhar is composing the album for the film.

Talking about the trailer reveals most of the story from the film. Based on the heart-wrenching social evil of female foeticide, Ranveer’s next is a hilarious smack on the same.

Ranveer plays the role of Jayeshbhai who happens to be the son of his village’s Sarpanch. His parents force him to have a baby boy after their first child who was a girl. Naturally, the whole torturous treatment falls on the head of Jayeshbhai’s wife. But even after his second child comes out to be a girl, he runs away with his daughter and wife.

What happens next is for the audience to find out in the theatres.

It is all set to release in theatres on 13th May, with less than a month remaining for the film, it might be difficult for the film with such a subject to make it big. But whatever the case may be, it’ll be clear after it actually releases.
