With Ajay Devgn’s huge success with ‘Drishyam 2‘, there are rumors of a third installment of the franchise. But this time, Jeethu Joseph has a very unique plan for Drishyam 3’s Hindi version. The Hindi and Malayalam movie will be released on the same day. This unprecedented strategy will help the business of both the films because there are mutually exclusive audiences for the movies in both Hindi and Malayalam audios. Nishikant Kamat directed the first Hindi Drishyam movie with the second one directed by Kumar Mangat. Mangat will also be helming the Hindi Drishyam 3.
Like the other two films, the Malayalam movie, directed by Jeethu, will not release before the Hindi one. The making of both the movies will go on simultaneously and this way the suspense of the film will not be spoiled. This is a very unique and challenging strategy to be taken, but it will definitely help in the success of the movie. The plan of Jeethu and the makers will target the Hindi audience with higher focus, and there is no apparent gain for the original Malayalam version of the movie when it has its theatrical release, but as they are produced by the same producers it will be profitable in the long run.
There is a huge number of audiences that do not watch the Malayalam ‘Drishyam’ movies starring Mohanlal because they are not dubbed in Hindi just after the theatrical release of the original one. In fact, Mohanlal’s Drishyam movies are nowhere available in Hindi audios. And there is no doubt that Hindi audio does a better job than subtitles to attract audiences. The reason that ‘Drishyam 2’ is roaring at the box office right now is that the majority of the franchise fans have not yet watched the Malayalam Drishyam sequel.
