Jim Sarbh, who is still riding high following his critically acclaimed performance in SonyLIV’s widely admired series ‘Rockey Boys Season-2’, is teaming up with another Indian actor Kirti Kulhari for an interesting international project. The talented duo have been roped in to star in a film called ‘Sach Is Life’, which is written and will be directed by music video director Harsh Mahadeshwar.
‘Sach Is Life’ is being described as a slice-of-life drama which revolves around a determined couple (played by Jim Sarbh and Kirti Kulhari) who reside in the US. The film is based on the real-life story of the Munshi family and their constant endeavors to get their three-year-old son, who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy aka DMD, the life he deserves in spite of his condition.
This is not the first time a film has touched upon the sensitive subject of muscular dystrophy but there aren’t many. Previously, some movies such as ‘The Fundamentals of Caring’, ‘Chasing 3000’, and ‘A Time To Live’ have explored the subject. Besides, last year, an Indian film called ‘Salaam Venky’ starring Kajol as the doting mother who supports her son (Vishal Jethwa) suffering from dystrophy, also revolves around the yet incurable medical condition.
Jim Sarbh, who was recently nominated for the ‘Best Actor’ category at the International Emmy Awards 2023, will next be seen in a thriller flick titled ‘Pune Highway’ co-starring Amit Sadh. On the other hand, Kirti Kulhari’s upcoming acting projects include ‘Khichdi 2’, and ‘Hisaab Barabar’ co-starring Madhavan, amongst other films.
