Jio Cinema has launched the trailer for its upcoming new series ‘Pill’ led by Riteish Deshmukh and despite raising a very concerning issue the trailer doesn’t create the thrill it should have. Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta (‘Aamir’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘Raid’), ‘Pill’ will premiere only on Jio Cinema on 12th July, 2024.
The trailer shows how a deep rooted racket of inferior quality medicines is running across the nation and the whole system is involved in it. When Dr Prakash Chauhan, an officer of the Medicine Authority of India, gets to know about it he and his team decide to take down a pharma giant who has launched a medicine in the market that’s deadly. Will they be able to win or be crushed down?
A dark ominous feel has been tried to create through the trailer but the only thing that stands out is Riteish Deshmukh’s acting skills. The thrill and urgency that should have reflected when such a concerning issue is at hand is lacking.
Though the trailer is just a glimpse and we hope the show turns out to be a good one since the topic is surely a relevant and interesting one. Also, the director has some pretty good credits to his name and we might be in for a surprising treat.
