JioCinema rose to prominence somehow in 2023. The platform has been in existence ever since the advent of the 4G internet in India but it was limited to some films that only a niche audience was interested in. But, last year was a game-changer.
After the glitchy free streaming of FIFA, they made a bang with the free streaming of IPL. Then came the step of eating up the USP of Disney+Hotstar i.e. HBO content. They started hosting not only HBO originals but also all the films of Warner Bros. It was a huge deal and people thought that finally JioCinema was doing something impressive as an OTT platform but it was all in vain. Because they are still to fix some very very basic things in the app that may seem small but frustrate the hell out of a common user.
Imagine being a prominent OTT app in 2024 and users losing track of where they were while watching. Now, this is indeed bad. They are still to fix tons of glitches and God forgive their sin of showing ads even on the premium bracket. This is really sad and we can only hope that JioCinema fixes it. Binged and 1000s of users have been screaming this at the top of our lungs for the past year or so, improvements are yet to be made.

The series watch are not tracked
They take forever to load on tv
And this is all the premium content, and I still get ads at start of every episode even though I’m a paid customer#JioCinema

Really really bad application for those who want to see a movie or series in jio cinema..
