JioCinema Continues To Censor ‘House Of The Dragon Season 2’, Check Out Episode 4

It seems like JioCinema does not care about pissing off its subscribers. The prominent Indian streamer is currently facing a lot of heat from its subscribers for censoring the episodes of the ongoing HBO’s House of the Dragon Season 2. Episode 4 has become the streamer’s latest victim.

As revealed by Binged in one of its latest tweets, there is a massive difference between the runtimes of Episode 4 released by HBO and JioCinema. On HBO, the latest episode was 55 minutes and 28 seconds long. Whereas, that same episode was only 53 minutes long on JioCinema. We are looking at nearly 2 minutes and 28 seconds of censored scenes in Episode 4, thanks to JioCinema.

One Twitter (X) user on our official handle has shed some light on this controversy. According to him (and he is not wrong), JioCinema is taking advantage of no one looking at them, which is allowing them to censor as many scenes as they want in the ongoing Season 2 of House of the Dragon. The noticeable lack of gore or violence in JioCinema’s version of HOTD definitely raises some questions.

Is JioCinema really censoring House of the Dragon? Well, the streamer has blamed the difference in the frame rate and some “certain technical aspects” for this pathetic scenario. Come on, JioCinema! Really?

We all know that the Indian Government has previously requested that OTT platforms “independently review” the content they release. The government has also asked the local streamers to consider foreign content as well in this review process. If JioCinema is really censoring the episodes of House of the Dragon Season 2, then they should admit it openly. Otherwise, they must provide some solid proof to the viewers. Stay tuned for more updates.
