JioHotstar is technically a new member of the Indian OTT industry but actually, it is not. It brings experience from many different OTT platforms,
particularly Disney+Hotstar. Most other platforms make noise about what content is about to hit their platform in the upcoming time.
But they hardly talk about all the stuff that will leave their platform. Actually, content that is not original is licensed by other producers. Naturally, that license comes with an expiry date. That’s why we see so much content getting expired and leaving OTT platforms.
But Netflix has been quite ahead in this list. For years they have made it a point to inform the readers about the content that is about to go away from the platform and the interested people watch it without any further delay.
Naturally, the views of the title have boosted in the last few days.
JioHotstar took inspiration from Netflix and has started announcing the titles that will leave the platform. This is actually a very nice step and helps make audiences better informed.
As of now, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, Game of Thrones are going to leave JioHotstar.
Yeah, that’s sad but it is going away.
This news loses relevance when you consider the date. It is April Fool’s Day. No such feature is there on JioHotstar. No such series is going to leave JioHotstar.
