It’s quite a major casting Update! Apple TV+’s mutiple Emmy winner “Ted Lasso” has boarded Jodi Balfour for a recurring role in the latest the upcoming third season of the Comedy series. This is the first new casting for the show after it’s second season.
Balfour is said to be playing Jack, a charming venture capitalist. She joins Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso alongside other series regulars such as Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Nick Mohammed and Phil Dunster.
Ted Lasso is developed by Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt and also stars Sudeikis as Ted Lasso who is a college football coach from Kansas. He gets hired as a coach to a professional soccer team in England with no experience at hand in coaching soccer.
Sudeikis also executive produces besides starring through his Doozer Productions. The show is produced in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television. Brett Goldstein writes and co-executive produces this sensational comedy series.
The show broke records in 2021 with 20 Emmy nominations in 2021, the highest for a new comedy series and went on to win seven of them including Best Comedy Series. The show’s second season finale saw a shocking twist surrounding Mohammed’s Assistant Coach Nate. We absolutely can’t wait for the third season to officially hit our small screens. Stay tuned.
