John David Washington is the son of the legendary actor Denzel Washington. He was a former professional NFL football player, who slowly transitioned to acting by appearing in the Dwayne “the Rock ” Johnson led series, ‘Ballers’. After appearing in the Spike Lee surprise hit ‘BlakKklansman’, he has been offered many prominent roles, including the career changing role in Christopher Nolan’s ‘TENET’.
John David hasn’t been referred to as Denzel Washington’s son in sometime, and it has been so for good reason. This actor has been part of a couple of brilliant projects as of late and he has been giving a varied performance in those features (not unlike his father; sorry, couldn’t resist).
American Entertainment company New Regency, has added John David Washington to David O. Rusell’s latest film. The feature film does not have a title or even a logline, but reports say that it will start shooting in Los Angeles in January.
The film already had a heavy cast of Christian Bale and Margot Robbie, but adding the recent A-lister John David to this group, is going to create even more buzz for the project. Both Bale and Robbie are two brilliant actors and John David seems to be going on the same career path as these acting giants. It will be interesting to see how the trajectory of his film choices and roles will be and we hope they are as varied and nuanced as any other brilliant actor out there.
