John Wick 4 Long Runtime Revealed, Sets A New Franchise Record

John Wick: Chapter 4 will be the longest entry in the gun-fu franchise, according to Collider. The upcoming Keanu Reeves starrer will have a runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes.

In 2014, the first John Wick entry had a runtime of 101 minutes. Then, the sequels, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3: Parabellum, clocked 122 and 131 minutes respectively. With a runtime of 169 minutes, we can expect plenty of thrills and high-octane action sequences in Chapter 4.

Chapter 4 having a long runtime makes a lot of sense, considering the stakes for Reeves’ iconic character. Fans have witnessed Wick killing a man with a book, his fight alongside Halle Berry’s Sofia and her vicious dogs, intense knife fights, ninjas on bikes, and so much more in previous entries. It seems like the forthcoming chapter is ready to run on all cylinders.

“John Wick: Chapter 4 has the most action of any of the [John Wick] films, which is saying a lot,” Reeves revealed in his recent interview with Total Film. “And it’s more by a good margin. It’s a big show.”

In Chapter 4, the fan-favourite hitman will be on a path to defeat the High Table. Now, he has the full support of The Bowery King (Lawrence Fishburne) after the events of the last John Wick film. All he wants is his freedom back. But to do that, he must face a new enemy, Marquis de Gramont (Bill Skarsgard), with the help of powerful alliances across the globe. However, some of his old friends may become his adversaries on this journey.

John Wick: Chapter 4 stars Keanu Reeves, Lawrence Fishburne, Bill Skarsgard, Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, and many more talents. With Chad Stahelski at the helm, the upcoming entry will hit the theatres on March 24. Stay tuned for more updates.
