This year’s blockbuster action thriller ‘John Wick Chapter 4’ has locked its streaming release date in India. The Keanu Reeves starrer will premiere on Lionsgate Play India on 23rd June, 2023. John Wick 4 OTT release date arrives three months after its theatrical release date. The film had hit theatres worldwide on 24th March, 2023, and went on to do blockbuster business across the world.
Interestingly, John Wick 4 is still playing in Indian theatres in metro cities, albeit with vastly reduced shows. The exemplary theatre run of John Wick 4 in India proves the ample popularity of the franchise in the country. John Wick Chapter 4 is the fourth film in the gritty John Wick series of movies, headlined by Keanu Reeves in the titular character.
Lionsgate is the sole distributor for John Wick 4, just like all three previous John Wick films. That is also the reason why the John Wick film franchise is exclusively streaming only on Lionsgate Play in India. Hence, John Wick Chapter 4 is also slated to stream only on Lionsgate Play and on no other OTT platform in India.
John Wick 4 picks up the threads of the protagonist’s story from the end of John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum. The film is directed and co-produced by Chad Stahelski and written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. It takes John Wick’s revenge saga a notch further, as he single-handedly takes on the High Table, to extract revenge from those who left him for dead at the end of John Wick 3. The story takes him across the globe, from Morocco to Japan to Paris and Berlin.
Besides Keanu Reeves in the title character, John Wick 4 stars Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, Clancy Brown, and Ian McShane, among others, in pivotal roles. The film marks the final appearance of Lance Reddick, who died of a heart attack in March, days before the release of John Wick Chapter 4. Reddick plays the well-loved character of Charon, the discreet concierge at the Continental Hotel, New York.
