Joker Makes A Bone Chilling Return In The SnyderCut Trailer!

Zack Snyder’s Justice League dropped a brilliant trailer yesterday, on Valentine’s Day, which was promised to us over a week ago. Even after a new 15 second teaser was dropped daily, building up to the 14th of February – the trailer didn’t disappoint. The 150 second video gives us another look at the aftermath of Superman’s death, shows the extended roles of every member of the Justice League – Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg – within the trailer itself (hopefully the movie will give them the story arcs they deserve), brilliant new looks at Darkseid, Desaad, his general Steppenwolf and the army of parademons and also the much awaited BlackSuit Superman. But the best part of the trailer, at least according to us, was at the very end of this action packed trailer which showed us the Clown Prince of Crime – The Joker.

“We live in a society, where honor is a distant memory. Isn’t that right… Batman?” These two sentences are being spoken by Batman’s greatest nemesis, Joker, to Batman himself, during what seems to be the end of the world. Gone are the multiple piercings, green hair and the purple suit – we are left with a pasty white, goosebumps inducing face with long dark hair and red painted lips (somethings never change). Joker seems to be carrying an automatic weapon and wearing a kevlar jacket over a hospital gown while sitting on the hood of a car, with his back facing the caped crusader.

This Joker introduction looks like a dream sequence inside Bruce Wayne’s/ Batman’s head. But we can also see Cyborg standing behind Batman, so it might not be the continuation of the dream sequence which we saw in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It could also be a premonition being witnessed by both Justice League members, which sounds confusing, but we are still very excited for Zac Snyder’s Justice League to drop next month.

Jared Leto will be the first actor to ever return to play the Joker in a live action movie after another actor (Jaoquin Phoenix) had portrayed the iconic character on screen. Many felt that Jared Leto didn’t get to give his all in 2016’s critically panned Suicide Squad, including the actor himself and hopefully he will get to show his best performance as Gotham’s trickster, even in the short cameo appearance he will make in this movie.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will premiere in HBOMax on 18th March 2021, for the US and Canadian audiences. We will find out where it will drop in India, in the coming weeks. Check out the trailer below:
