It seems like Jonathan Majors will have a fully developed role in the form of Victor Timely in Loki Season 2. The show’s executive producer, Kevin Wright, confirmed this in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Wright teased that Majors’ ongoing legal issues would not affect Victory Timely in the upcoming MCU series. “Victor Timely is somebody that we are very, very excited about,” Wright said. “When you look at Kang, he has a very funny comic backstory. He has all these iterations. Timely was the one that we’ve always wanted to do in Loki. And I think we are really excited about how that integrates into the season. It’s a big part of the show.”
Majors’ legal problems raised concerns of many Marvel fans about how much screen time the actor would receive in Loki. But thanks to Wright’s confirmation, it looks like his version of Victor Timely will receive a full-fledged role in the upcoming show.
The report also revealed that Timely would appear in “about half of the episodes”. It means that fans will witness the Kang variant in at least three episodes of Loki.
Victor Timely is one of the key Kang variants in the comics. He belongs to the early 1900s and is considered a genius inventor and industrialist. He always dons a three-piece suit and a pair of spectacles. The character made its live-action debut at the end of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’.
Loki Season 2 will arrive on Disney+ Hotstar on October 5. It stars Tom Hiddleston, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, and more. Stay tuned for more updates.
