Jug Jugg Jeeyo is one of the few films from recent Bollywood which emerged highly successful at the theatres.
Needless to say, the film had an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Manish Paul along with Prajakta Koli.
More than the cast, what worked out was the family-centered theme of the film which was both relatable and funny at times. Thus, the film did surprising business and restored our faith in small-budget Bollywood films which worked like magic in the pre-pandemic world.
After a massive theatrical success, Prime Video released the film on Prime Video day just a few days back.
Surprise surprise, even this time the film is doing wonders. Unlike Netflix, which is very consistent in publishing viewing stats of titles, Prime Video doesn’t reveal any data about the time a film/series has been streamed on their platform.
But the producer of the film Karan Johar has himself taken it to his social media to announce the same.
Jug Jugg Jeeyo is one of the most watched Hindi films of this year on Prime Video. Even better, this data is from only 3 days after the release of the film on Prime Video.
Looks like it is behind Dharma Productions’ own Gehraiyaan which is a massive success on Prime Video.
But whatever the case may be, Dharma Productions is having a good time.
