Popular actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld teased the possibility of a Seinfeld reboot in one of his recent standup shows. Debuting in 1989, Seinfeld is considered one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. However, its ending does not sit well with many fans even after all these years.
“Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending,” Seinfeld said in his standup show. So far, it is unclear what the comedian actually means by his statement.
In a recent interview with the Guardian, the on-screen Elaine Benes, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, has revealed what she thought after listening to Seinfeld’s words. Check out below!
“Yeah, I just saw [that news] last night. And I don’t know what the hell he’s talking about,” Julia said.
Jerry Seinfeld co-created ‘Seinfeld’ with Larry David. The duo may have plans for a reboot project based on the iconic sitcom. Or the show could follow in the footsteps of ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Friends’, and may end up delivering a reunion special for the fans in future.
The odds of getting a full-fledged rebooted sitcom based on the world of Seinfeld are low. The show ended nearly 25 years ago. No one knows if the fans will accept its rebooted version or not. However, all four cast members, consisting of Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Jason Alexander, could return for a reunion special or a special episode. We may get more updates about this scenario in future. Stay tuned! Stream all episodes of Seinfeld on Netflix!
