This Week’s Top Foreign OTT Releases: The Terminal List Etc

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘The Umbrella Academy’, ‘Doctor Strange 2’, ‘Money Heist: Korea’, ‘The Man from Toronto’, and ‘Love & Gelato’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up for release. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms from this week.

Only Murders in the Building Season-2 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 28th June)

The comedy murder mystery show revolves around three strangers Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) who reside at the Arconia. Their common passion for a true-crime podcast leads them to investigate the mysterious death of the Arconia building manager Bunny Folger.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo (Streaming on Netflix from 29th June)

The South Korean series follows the story of a young lawyer Woo Young-woo (played by Park Eun-bin), who is on the autism spectrum but is blessed with high IQ and a razor-sharp memory. The plot revolves around how she deals with life inside the courtroom and the law firm she works for while also dealing with various challenges that life throws at her.

Baymax! (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 29th June)

The six-part animated action-adventure series is set in San Fransokyo city and revolves around the titular character Baymax (voiced by Scott Adsit), the healthcare companion whose mission is to help others.

Paw Patrol: The Movie (Streaming on BookMyShow from 29th June)

Based on the TV show of the same name, the animated action-adventure series follows the adventures of Ryder and the lovable pups who make it their mission to save the nearby Adventure City from their formidable adversary Mayor Humdinger.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 (Streaming on Netflix from 1st July)

The fourth season of the sci-fi horror series would follow the aftereffects of the devastating Battle of Starcourt at the Hawkins town in Indiana. The show’s young protagonists are now living separately and trying to move on in their lives. At this juncture, a long-buried, supernatural threat that connects everything, emerges on Earth and the Upside Down. The fourth season will be released in two parts. First volume comprising seven episodes began streaming from 27th May while the second volume with two episodes will come out on 1st July.

The Terminal List (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 1st July)

The action thriller series is based on a book (series) written by former Navy SEAL Jack Carr. The first book of the series was ‘The Terminal List’ while the other three being ‘True Believer’, ‘Savage Son’ and ‘The Devil’s Hand’. The plot revolves around a Navy SEAL, who uses his unique warfare skills to avenge the deaths of his loved ones. Chris Pratt would be essaying the role of the protagonist – Navy SEAL James Reece.

Benedetta (Streaming on Mubi from 1st July)

Helmed by Paul Verhoeven (Director – RoboCop, Hollow Man), the biographical drama movie is set in the 17th century and revolves around a nun in Italy named Benedetta Carlini (played by Virginie Efira), who develops a forbidden romantic relationship with another nun.
